What to do? What to do? What would be the ideal project to ease myself back into this loving hobby? Whether it's knitting, tatting, knotting, embroidering or crocheting - a scarf!!! Yup...that's it a scarf..or as it turned out scarves! A fun and easy way to spend a few hours watching something lovely being created in front of your eyes. Well...see for yourselves. These are called "Cascading Potato Chip Scarf" and are quick and easy to whip up. Not to mention quite fashionable these days. The two you see here were done following the pattern to the letter. Although I did use a 4mm hook finding the result of a too long scarf using the 5mm hook the pattern recommends.
This last one to the right has one extra row added. Slipstitch in each stitch across. It gives it a really nice finish. My favourite scarf so far.
The pattern is available here http://www.favecrafts.com/Crochet-Hats-Scarves-Gloves/Cascading-Potato-Chip-Scarf-from-Red-Heart-Yarn#. It calls for two different colours but I love the variegated yarns. You can wear any of these scarves with many, many outfits. Hmmm...what to do next?
